Onion Lake RCMP  were called to a residence on the Onion Lake Cree Nation in relation to a reported stabbing on August 11th, at approximately 7:00 am.

Police arrived to find Tyson Blair Crosschild, 28, outside of the home in medical distress. Crosschild was later pronounced deceased at hospital.

Dakota Dean Whitstone, 30, of Onion Lake was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder and Breach of Recognizance x 2.
