Update: Chandrababu Thambu, his son Preijanthan Chandrababu, murdered in Calgary

Calgary police were called to 100 block of Panamount Common N.W on June 10th at around 5:15pm on report of at least four injured people.

Police arrived to find 2 men dead in the home, and another 2 men injured.  The injured men were rushed to hospital, and are expected to survive.

Police said they aren’t looking for any suspects, as of June 11th no charges have been laid.

The death of the two men are Calgary’s 11th and 12th homicide this year. The Calgary Homicide list is available here.

Update June 14th

The victims have been identified as Chandrababu Thambu, 56, and his son Preijanthan Chandrababu, 25.  The suspect in the case is one of the other injured men. the 27 year old suspect was taken to hospital where he remains.

Update July 9th

Anandaloj Srianandan, 27, of Calgary has been released from hospital and  has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder. Srianandan is due to appear in court on July 10th.
