Vancouver Homicide Victim List

The Vancouver Police Department has confirmed it responded to a stabbing incident at an apartment complex near Vanness Avenue and Spencer Street shortly before 2 p.m on September 5th.

Officers discovered two women dead inside the apartment The victims have been identified as Jianghui Deng, 55, and Chunxiu Yin, 54.

 Viet Quy John Ly, 54, of Vancouver, has been charged with two counts of Second-Degree murder.

On September 11th, the third victim, Jinfeng Guan, 50, died in hospital, where she had been receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in the stabbing.

Update: On Monday December 15th, the BC Prosecution Service laid a third count of second-degree murder against Ly, in connection with Guan’s death.
