Trevor Stross of no fixed address was found dead following a house fire in Nanaimo, Investigators say he was the victim of a homicide

Emergency crews were called to the report of a fire at a house on Athletic Street at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday August 11th.

When the blaze was extinguished firefighters searched the home and discovered the body of an adult male who has since been identified as Trevor Stross, 40, of no fixed address. Investigators said the RCMP is releasing the man’s identity in an effort to further their investigation. Police said the victim was known to travel between Victoria and Nanaimo.

His death is being investigated as a homicide. Anyone who had recent interactions with Stross is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
