Toronto police responded to a call for a shooting at 21 Bergamot Avenue, on February 13th at approximately 10:50pm.
Police arrived to find Tesfa Welsh-Hope, 28, of Toronto, suffering from gunshot wounds, on the ground outside of the building. Welsh-Hope was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police are searching for a suspect who has been described as a male, wearing a dark-coloured, hooded jacket. He was last seen fleeing the area, running southbound along a pathway toward 11 Bergamot Avenue.

Update March 20th
Kyle Dias, 19, was arrested in Nanimo BC on March 15th in relation to the murder of Tesfa Welsh-Hope. He is being transferred back to Toronto on March 20th. Dias is facing a second-degree murder charge.
