Toronto Homicide #67 – Nikie Timm Fatally shot in North York

police responded to a call for a shooting at 53 Bakersfield Street on October 21st at 3:26am.

Police arrived to find Nikie Timm, 37, of Toronto, in a parkinglot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. TPS provided lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived. Timm was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said shortly after the shooting, another man attended a local hospital on his own, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Both men had attended a private event prior to the shooting.

The suspects fled the scene southbound Bakersfield Street in a dark coloured vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Update: On Saturday, October 30, 2021, Toronto police arrested David Benjamin, 41, of Toronto, and Leary Hibbert, 41, of Toronto, have been charged with:

1. First Degree Murder
2. Attempt to Commit Murder
