Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 8200-block of 128 Street on July 14th at approximately 9:26am.

On arrival police located a man who The Voice has identified as Ripudaman Singh Malik, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim died of his injuries at the scene.

A suspect vehicle was located on fire at 122 Street and 82 Avenue.

According to outlets, Ripudaman Singh Malik was acquitted in the 1985 Air India bombing case, back in 2005.

Update RCMP announced on July 26 that Tanner Fox, 21, and Jose Lopez, 23, have both been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
