Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a deceased person located on Salmon River Forrest Service Road in Prince George on March 9th at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Frontline officers attended the scene and located a deceased person just off the roadway. The North District Major Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation and is working closely in partnership with the Prince George RCMP and the BC Coroners Service. 

Investigators said the death appears to be an isolated incident and no potential danger to the public at this time.

The North District Major Crime Unit is seeking any information the public may have relating to this incident or may have seen anything suspicious in the area. Anyone who was near the area of Salmon River FSR with dash-camera video within the last two weeks is urged to contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
