Montreal, Quebec 2026 Homicide Victim List

Montreal police were called to a stabbing at a depanneur on March 11th at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Berri Street near the Laurier Metro station.

On arrival police located a man in his 50’s deceased. The victim has been identified as dépanneur owner Chong Woo Kim.

Police said they arrested a suspect at Complexe Desjardins at approximately 11:30am and charged with first-degree murder. According to CBC, the accused, 35-year-old Xavier Gellatly, has an extensive record. In 2015, he received a seven-year prison sentence for a string of offences committed in British Columbia, including the fatal stabbing of Chelsea Holden.
