Laval police responded to multiple reports of a shooting at the corner of Saint-Luc and Meunier Streets on August 17th at approximately 2:30am.

Police and paramedic arrived to find a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds, deceased at the scene. Laval police have turned the investigation over to Sûreté du Quebec because they say the shooting is believed to be connected to organized crime.

Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, a spokesperson for the SQ said “We could maybe find out later if there are certain elements that lead us to believe that there are similarities with previous cases.”
