London Ontario man dies in hospital after being set on fire

July 12, 2022, at approximately 2:20 a.m, London police were alerted of a man on fire, by a citizen that called 911.

Emergency crews arrived at the area of Admiral Drive and Trafalgar Street where they located a 29-year-old man with life-threatening injuries who was transported to hospital by Paramedic Services. The victim dies of his injuries later that night.

Investigators said the 29-year-old victim and suspect were known to each other, and were at a residence on Noel Avenue earlier in the evening, before becoming involved in a physical altercation. Both individuals left the residence separately.

Investigators were searching for the suspect who left in a vehicle after they determined that the driver was also responsible for the serious assault on the man.

At approximately 3 a.m London police arrested Bradley Joudrey, 32, and charged him with:

  • Attempt to commit murder;
  • Impaired operation of a conveyance; and
  • Impaired exceed blood alcohol concentration.

Police have not announced what upgraded charges he may be facing.
