Calgary police were called to a residence located in the 0 to 100 block of Braden Crescent N.W., for reports of a home invasion on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024 at 9:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, police located a man deceased and two others injured inside the residence. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, confirmed the identity of the victim as John Wayne DAVIS, 53.

The two other people who were injured remain in the hospital in stable and serious condition.

Anyone with information or CCTV footage from the area yesterday morning, in the hours leading up to the incident, is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.

This is Calgary’s first homicide of 2024.
