Surrey, British Columbia 2026 Homicide Victim List

At approximately 10:02 p.m. on May 10, 2026, Surrey Police Service frontline officers responded to reports of gunfire in an underground parking garage in the 7000 block of 133B Street.

When officers arrived, they discovered two teens suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately began administering emergency medical aid until BC Emergency Health Services paramedics arrived on scene.

Despite efforts by first responders to save their lives, both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified the victims as an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both residents of Surrey.

No arrests have been made, and investigators have not released any suspect information at this stage of the investigation. The homicide team says a burned grey four-door sedan is believed to be linked to the killings, and investigators are now trying to identify the people inside the vehicle, who fled after the incident.

While the motive is still under investigation, investigators believe this to be a targeted incident related to the BC gang conflict.

“This shooting has left two families grieving the loss of young lives taken far too soon,” says Sgt. Freda Fong of IHIT. “Extensive work is underway as investigators pursue all available leads to identify and hold those responsible accountable.”
