Edmonton police responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 127 Avenue and 118 Street on May 27, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m.

On arrival, they located an adult male suffering from a serious injury. EMS treated and transported Jordan Belhumeur, 37, to hospital, where he later died of his injuries. An autopsy was performed and determined that Belhumeur, died of a gunshot wound. The manner of death is homicide.

Homicide Section investigators are still hoping there may be witnesses or evidence captured on security cameras. Area residents are encouraged to check their home surveillance video and contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.
