Dufferin County OPP responded to a residence on Highway 10 to investigate a suspicious death on September 17, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Police arrived to find a 76-year-old woman deceased. Wingham Free Press identified the victim as Jelena Domjanic. Her cause of death has not been released.

The OPP says Daniel Domjanic, 49, of Mono, has been arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder. Police have not released the relationship between Daniel and Jelena.
