Edmonton police locate the body of missing woman Aylissa Rovere, and charged Collin Boucher-Gionet with murder

On Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, the EPS requested public assistance in locating missing woman, Aylissa Rovere, 32.

Through the course of the investigation, police began to suspect Rovere had met with foul play, and as such, the EPS Homicide Section took the lead in the investigation.

Edmonton police said in a press release that over the weekend, police executed a search warrant at an address in Parkland County, where they located human remains. An autopsy completed on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024 confirmed the deceased to be Aylissa Rovere, and the manner of death was determined to be a homicide.

Collin Boucher-Gionet, 34, was arrested on September 17th and charged with charged with second-degree murder and indignity to a body.

According to CBC, Collin Boucher-Gionet is the former partner of Aylissa Rovere.
