West District RCMP responded to the report of a shooting on a dirt road in a wooded area in Allendale on September 13th.

Police arrived to find 40-year-old James Robert Paul of Kingsclear First Nation deceased at the scene. The cause of death was a gunshot wound.

The New Brunswick RCMP’s Major Crime Unit, specialized policing services such as RCMP Air Services, Police Dog Services, Forensic Identification Services attended the scene. On September 14th Francis Gabriel Solomon Junior of Kingsclear First Nation was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
