Barrie Ontario 2026 Homicide Victim List

Barrie Police have arrested a suspect following a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday morning near the Five Points intersection at Bayfield Street and Dunlop Street West.

Officers responded to reports of an injured man lying on the ground around 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim had suffered a stab wound. 36-year-old Kevin Montgomery was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators say the suspect had been seen interacting with the victim shortly before the incident. At approximately 2 p.m., police arrested a 29-year-old man near Toronto Street and Dunlop Street West.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the homicide.
