Bailey Lonechild stabbed to death in Saskatoon’s second homicide of 2017

Police were called to St. Paul’s Hospital on January 17th at around 4am on report of an injured man. The man had been injured at a home at the 100-block of Avenue M South.

The victim who was later identified as Bailey Lonechild 29, died in hospital from a serious stab wound.

Saskatoon police have issued a warrant for Curtis Kevin Morin, 25, in relation to the death of Lonechild.

Update, January 26th

Curtis Morin was arrested by police on January 25th in a stolen vehicle along with two others. One of the three men had allegedly pointed a shotgun at the officer. The suspects evaded police for several blocks before the men abandoned the car and fled on foot. Morin and one other were arrested, and police dogs were used to find he third man hiding under a deck. Charges are pending for all three.
