A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Javon Moosomin in relation to the homicide of Boyd Firingstoney in North Battleford

North Battleford RCMP were dispatched to a report of a shooting on the 1200 block of 108th Street on October 21st at approximately 1:45am.

Police arrived to find  33-year-old Boyd Firingstoney of Mosquito First Nation, deceased at the scene.

As a result of the investigation Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crime Unit South have issued a warrant for the arrest of Javon Moosomin, who has been charged with:

  • 1 count, second degree murder, Section 235, Criminal Code
  • 5 counts, pointing a firearm, Section 87(2), Criminal Code
  • 1 count, possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code

Javon Moosomin should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as 5’11” and 180 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Do not approach him, if spotted call 911 immediately.
