Vancouver, British Columbia 2026 Homicide Victim List

Vancouver police are looking into the city’s first homicide of 2026 after a fatal stabbing near East 10th Avenue and Commercial Drive on January 20th.

Vancouver police were called to the scene around 8:40 p.m. on January 20 following reports of a stabbing. The victim was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. Police have identified him as 48-year-old Christopher Jumal Sanderson.

Update, on January 24th Vancouver police arrested 22-year-old Quoc The Cathedral Dang, and charged him with second-degree murder.
