On Thursday, October 9, 2025, around 4:40 p.m., RCMP responded to a report of a fight between two individuals near the intersection of Nevada Street and Dunn Crescent in Rossland, B.C. One of the individuals later died from their injuries in hospital.

The Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SED MCU) has taken over the investigation and is appealing to the public for any witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call the SED MCU Information Line at 1-877-987-8477.
