Toronto police were called to the sound of gunshots at 11:13pm on April 15th in the area of Bain Ave and Logan Ave.
Police said two males were located with gunshot wounds. One male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and the second male victim was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The victims have been identified as Quentin Caza, 18, of Toronto, and Jeremy McNeil, 20, of Toronto.
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, a 17-year-old teen who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with two counts of first-degree.
Toronto Police say 18-year-old Abdulrahman Zein and a 17-year-old male youth, both from Toronto, were arrested in Barrie on May 26th on Canada-wide warrants, and charged with two counts of First Degree Murder.
Update:
On Monday, October 6, 2025, a fourth suspect, Kyle Taylor, 20, of Toronto, was located, arrested and charged with two counts of First Degree Murder.
During the arrest of the fourth accused, another individual, 23-year-old Brian Cada of Toronto, was also taken into custody at the scene. A firearm was found in his possession. Officers from 55 Division laid the following charges:
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possess Firearm without Holding a Licence
- Handle Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition in a Careless Manner
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
