On the night of Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at around 10:47 p.m., Saint John Police responded to a 911 call at a home on Carleton Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a 34-year-old man unconscious with severe injuries. First aid was immediately provided, and paramedics also responded, but the victim was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The Saint John Police Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services, working alongside the Coroner’s Office, launched a homicide investigation. Police initially stated that the incident appeared to be isolated, and no suspects had been arrested at the time.
As of now, Saint John Police have confirmed that a 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal incident. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court later today.
