Sudbury – Attempted Murder charged upgraded to second-degree murder after assault victim dies in Hospital

Sudbury police were called to a  a residence on Ferndale on July 1st on the report of a disturbance involving two men.

Police said a serious assault had taken place involving the 44-year-old male victim and the accused, a 25-year-old man. The victim was rushed to hospital where he was treated for serious injuries, and the accused was charged with attempted murder.

The victim ultimately died from his injuries in hospital on July 12th. As a result the cage of attempted murder has been upgraded to second degree murder.
