The 2021 BC Homicide Victim List is available here

Nanaimo RCMP said a man was shot to death inside a parked car at the Rock City Plaza on the 2900-block of Island Highway on May 20th at approximately 3:30pm. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.

Investigation led police the Best Western Hotel on Metral Drive where several people were arrested. A vehicle associated to these individuals has been seized. 

RCMP Const. Gary O’Brien said “This is a dynamic investigation and at this time we cannot confirm if there are others who are not in custody, who may be involved in this shooting.”

Police are asking for any dash cam video taken in the area of Rock City Plaza from 3:15 pm to 3:45 pm today May 20th to contact them at 250-754-2345.
