The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a suspicious death in northeast Edmonton on February 21, 2025, around 8:40 p.m.

Police said a woman was found with gunshot wounds at a townhouse complex on Homestead Crescent and Hooke Road, and she was declared deceased by EMS.

On February 25, 2025 and determined the deceased, Angel Daniels, 26, died of gunshot wounds. The manner of death is confirmed to be homicide.

Update: On Friday, April 4, 2025, a 17-year-old youth and Mustafa Sidow Ali, 18, were both charged with first degree murder.

EPS is requesting dash or home security footage from Overlanders residents between 4:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on February 21, as well as information from witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity. Those with information can contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
