Two Arrested After Fatal Shooting Near Pinehouse, SK; Victim Identified as 30-Year-Old Braydon Natomagan

On October 3, 2025, around 2:00 p.m., Pinehouse RCMP responded to a report of a shooting just outside the community of Pinehouse, Saskatchewan.

When officers arrived, they found 30-year-old Braydon Natomagan, a resident of Pinehouse, critical injuries. He was taken to the local clinic, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators determined that a confrontation had taken place among several individuals, during which a firearm was discharged and the victim was shot. Two suspects reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle.

RCMP officers quickly began searching the area and soon spotted the suspect vehicle near Beauval. They attempted a traffic stop using emergency lights, but the vehicle did not immediately stop. After a brief pursuit down an off-road trail, the vehicle came to a halt and the two individuals inside were taken into custody.

The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation. As a result, 25-year-old Christopher Nolan has been charged with:

  • Second-degree murder under Section 235(1) of the Criminal Code
  • Possession of a firearm while prohibited, Section 109(2) of the Criminal Code
  • He is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on October 6, 2025.

Additionally, 31-year-old Kelsey Iron faces several charges, including:

  • Accessory after the fact to murder, Section 240
  • Flight from police, Section 320.17
  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle, Section 320.13(1)
  • Refusal to comply with a breath demand, Section 320.15(1)
