Update: Othmane Rafik charged – Police investigate the Longueuil death of 79-year-old Denise Brouillette as a homicide

Police were called to an apartment unit on Cuvillier Street West in Longueuil on March 16th where they located a deceased woman. Police identified the victim as 79-year-old Denise Brouillette.

In a press release Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil said “The evolution of our intervention, examination of the scene and all the information collected so far leads us to confirm that this is a homicide”.

Update: On March 27th Longueuil police arrested Othmane Rafik, 28, and charged him with second-degree murder. According to CTV News “Rafik is also accused of stealing various objects from Brouillette, valued at less than $5,000, and stealing a 2013 Hyundai Elantra.”
