Police have charged a man with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 30-year-old Chantelle Moore, who was last seen at a Langley hotel in October 2024.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) arrested 31-year-old Trenton Henneberg of Port Moody on October 31 2025. In addition to the murder charge, he faces one count of indignity to human remains and remains in custody.

According to Sergeant Freda Fong of IHIT, investigators believe Henneberg and Moore were known to each other, and the incident was not random. Fong praised the team’s persistence, noting that while the charges mark a significant step forward, the case is ongoing as it moves through the courts. She added that Moore’s family continues to receive support during this difficult time.

Chantelle Moore was reported missing by her family to Surrey RCMP on November 18, 2024, after they had not heard from her for some time. Investigators later determined that she was last seen at a hotel in Langley.
