Peel police were called to the area of Tranmere Drive and Telford Way, on May 14th at approximately 11:53 a.m.
On arrival police located a Mississauga businessman, Harjeet Singh Dhadda, 51, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds steps from G&G Trucking Solutions a transportation safety and insurance company he ran with family. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
No arrests have been made, police said the suspect fled in a stolen 2018 Black Dodge Challenger, which was recovered shortly following the incident.

Update: According to City News the victim’s daughter, Gurleen Dhadda, said her father was being preyed upon by extortionists from India, but refused to bow to their demands.
“They asked for $500,000 from my dad, but my dad denied it. My dad said he’s not going to pay a single penny because he works for it,” she told OMNI reporter Loveen Gill.
Update: On June 3rd, Peel police announced after an intensive investigation, two suspects were identified and tracked to Delta, B.C.
Peel Regional Police, with assistance from officers with the Delta Police Department, Abbotsford Police, Surrey Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, located and arrested Aman Aman and Digvijay Digvijay, 21-year-old men from Delta, B.C, on May 28th.
The accused appeared before a Justice in Surrey, B.C., before being turned over to Homicide Detectives to be transported back to Ontario, assisted by the British Columbia Sheriff Service to face charges of First-Degree Murder.
Both accused attended a bail hearing June 1, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Update: On July 15, with the assistance of the Delta Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Peel Regional Police arrested 22-year-old Shaheel in Surrey, B.C. Police said the accused resides in Delta, B.C. He was returned to Ontario and charged with First Degree Murder.
