Lethbridge Police Charge Two Men and a Woman With First Degree Murder After the Body of Christina Webber Was Found in Motel Room

On December 28, 2024, authorities launched an investigation into a suspicious death after a body was found inside a motel room in the 2200 block of 7 Avenue South.

The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Christina Webber.

The death is being treated as a homicide, and two suspects have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder among other offenses.

On December 29, police apprehended a 28-year-old man as he was leaving the Lethbridge Correctional Centre, where he had been serving a weekend sentence for unrelated charges.

The following day, December 30, authorities executed a warrant at a residence on the 200 block of 19 Street North. After a brief standoff with the Tactical Team, a 36-year-old man was taken into custody.

Drew Austin Waters, 28, from Cranbrook, B.C., faces charges of first-degree murder, arson to property, and possession of a prohibited firearm. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on January 27.

Kyle Douglas Doddridge, 36, from Lethbridge, is charged with first-degree murder and arson to property. He remains in custody and is set to appear in court on January 8.

The third accused Melissa Christelle Tidlund, 23, turned herself in to police on January 3rd, She is also facing a first-degree murder charge.
