Update: IHIT investigating the 2020 deaths of three people at a Langley house fire. All three deceased have been deemed victims of homicide

Langley RCMP were called to the 19600-block of Wakefield Drive on June 13th at approximately 5:30 pm on the report of a fire.

Police arrived to find the house engulfed n flamed and the body of one male resident of the house deceased in the backyard with “injuries consistent with homicide”. Emergency crews discovered two other bodies inside the house and their identities are not yet confirmed. One man was rescued from the home and was treated on scene for minor injuries.

Sergeant Frank Jang of IHIT said “Although the flames have been extinguished, the property where the fire took place remains an active homicide crime scene. Neighbours in the area should expect frequent activity at the home by our investigators for the next while.”

Update July 13th
Police have revealed that the other two deceased women were also victims of homicide. The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Tatania Bazyar, 46-year-old Francesco Zangrilli and 23-year-old Mediya “Befrin” Ebrahimian. The sole survivor Kia Ebrahimian, 24, has been charged with three counts of second-degree murder. Kia was the brother to Befrin, and son to Tatania.

No further details will be released as this matter is now before the court

Kia Ebrahimian, entered guilty pleas in B.C. Supreme Court on Monday to three counts of second-degree murder in relation to the fatal stabbings of his brother Befrin Ebrahimian, mother Tatiana Bazyar, and mother’s partner Francesco Zangrilli
