La Loche RCMP were alerted by EMS of an altercation at a residence that resulted in the hospitalization of a 42-year-old female on February 15, 2024 at approximately 4:45 p.m.

The woman died of her injuries on February 16th. Police have not released her identity.

As a result of the investigation, 58-year-old Glenda Piche of La Loche has been charged with one count of second-degree murder.
