Stoney Nakoda RCMP were called to assist EMS with an unresponsive female on Highway 1A on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation on April 18th at 6:45am.
The victim who has been identified as 23-year old Keesha Crawler died of her injuries.
RCMP have said an investigation determined Crawler “departed from a moving vehicle and then was placed back in the vehicle” prior to her body being found alongside the highway.
Bryan Kelrick House Jr., 37, is charged with criminal negligence causing death. Police said the victim and the accused were known to each other.
