Calgary Police Investigate Suspicious Death Following Assault in Pineridge

Calgary police are investigating a suspicious death that took place in the Pineridge neighborhood on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Around 3:50 p.m., officers were called to the 6300 block of Rundlehorn Drive N.E. following reports of an assault. When they arrived, they found a man in medical distress. He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Homicide Unit is now handling the investigation. While the exact circumstances of the man’s death are still under review, police say there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, and more details are expected to be released afterward.
