Ottawa Police Service (OPS) officers responded to the 400 block of Meadow Park Place, where they located a deceased 21-year-old man at approximately 8:13 a.m. on October 22, 2025.

At the time, the death was being treated as suspicious, and the Homicide Unit launched an investigation.

Following an autopsy and further investigation, police have identified the victim as 21-year-old Joshua Qiyuk. His death has now been confirmed as a homicide resulting from a stabbing.

Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have been traveling on the Aviation Parkway between 7:00 p.m. on October 21 and 7:00 a.m. on October 22, or who observed pedestrians on the Aviation Pathway between Hemlock Road and Montreal Road during that time.
