Toronto Police responded to a call about an unknown disturbance near Gamble Avenue and Donlands Avenue around 9:34 p.m. on March 25, 2026.
According to investigators, an altercation was heard behind a building. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds with no vital signs. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the suspect had already fled.
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Ahmed Hassan Asif. The case marks Toronto’s fifth homicide of 2026.
Update: On Saturday, March 28, 2026, Pratik Parajuli Thapa, 21, was arrested and charged with:
- Second Degree Murder
- Robbery
