The 2025 Manitoba Homicide Victim List is available here

On October 1, 2025, at approximately 4:10 p.m., RCMP officers in South Indian Lake responded to a report of a potential stabbing at a residence in the area.

When police arrived, they found a 54-year-old man suffering from critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide.

A 53-year-old woman was taken into custody at the scene and remains under arrest.

The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from RCMP Major Crimes Services and Forensic Identification Services.
