The Saskatoon Police Service’s Major Crime Section is currently investigating the city’s fourth homicide of the year—and the second one to occur over the May long weekend.

Around 11:00 p.m. on May 18, 2025, officers were called to the area near Avenue B South and Spadina Crescent after receiving a report about a person with a stab wound. A 43-year-old man was found at the scene and taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
