RCMP responded to a call for assistance in the community on August 4th.

Police and paramedics located 17-year-old Deijean Drybones suffering from serious injuries. The teen was rushed to the local health centre, then to Stanton Territorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Police arrested Zakk Lafferty, 24, and said he is facing one charge of second-degree murder.
