Emergency services and police officers from the MRC de Montcalm responded to a call at a residence on Chemin des Amis on September 16th.

Upon arrival, they found an unconscious woman in her 60’s with signs of injury and violence. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Given the suspicious nature of her death, the Sûreté du Québec’s crimes against persons investigation unit has taken over the case. The police’s forensic identification team was also sent to the location to investigate the circumstances and cause of her death.

No arrests had been made in connection with the case.
