Winnipeg, Manitoba 2026 Homicide Victim List
Winnipeg Police responded to a wellbeing check at a residence in the 700 block of Stella Avenue shortly before 8 a.m on May 30th.
Officers arrived and discovered the body of a deceased man outside one of the homes.
The Homicide Unit took over the investigation and later identified the victim as 32-year-old Jamie Raymond Asham, a member of Peguis First Nation who was living in Winnipeg.
As the investigation progressed, police identified two suspects. On June 4, members of the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU), with assistance from the Tactical Support Team (TST), arrested 40-year-old Nicole Marie Lagimodiere at a residence in the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue. She was taken into custody without incident and charged with second-degree murder.
Several hours later, at approximately 1 a.m. on June 5, MIVOAU officers, again assisted by the Tactical Support Team, arrested 33-year-old Lance Pavel Beardy at an apartment complex in the 1–99 block of Park East Drive. He was also charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody.
Both accused are facing second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of Jamie Raymond Asham.
