Saskatchewan 2026 Homicide Victim List
Battlefords RCMP responded to a report of an injured man at a home on Saulteaux First Nation at approximately 4 a.m. on June 5, 2026.
When officers arrived, they found 53-year-old Leonard Moccasin suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
Investigators deemed the death suspicious and arrested an adult male at the residence. The Saskatchewan RCMP Homicide Investigation Unit subsequently took over the case.
Following the investigation, 30-year-old Bradley Redbear of Saulteaux First Nation was charged with one count of manslaughter on June 6, 2026.
Redbear was scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on June 8.
The investigation remains ongoing, with support from the Battlefords and Prince Albert Serious Crime Units, the Battlefords RCMP General Investigation Section, and the Forensic Identification Section.
