Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a shooting at a residence in the 500 block of Alexander Avenue on June 26th at 10:30am.

On arrival police located 31-year-old Aaron Ashton MCKAY of Winnipeg suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

The Death of McKay is the city’s 26th homicide of 2022
