Edmonton Police are investigating a suspicious death that happened in northeast Edmonton shortly after 3:30am on August 2nd.
Police were called to the area of 118 Avenue and 54 Street on report of an injured man. The victim was rushed to hospital, suffering from stab wounds. The 49 year old man died in hospital of his injuries.
Police are searching for William John Robert Monkman, in relation to the homicide. Monkman is described as an Indigenous male, with black hair and has a mustache and goatee. He is about 5’8” tall and has a pierced left ear.
