Little Grand Rapids RCMP received a report of a disturbance at a residence on May 4th at approximately 4:15 pm.
On arrival at the residence, police arrested two males, aged 35 and 25, from within the home. No other occupants were located inside. Investigators then learned that a 63-year-old female, who was determined to be an occupant of the residence where the two men were arrested, had been taken to the nursing station where she was pronounced deceased. Her cause of death had not been released, however, police said her death is being investigated as a homicide.
Little Grands Rapids RCMP, along with RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
Update RCMP charged 25-year-old, Roy Dunsford Jr, with 2nd Degree Murder in relation to the homicide. He was remanded into custody for a court appearance scheduled in Winnipeg.
The 35-year-old male, who had also been arrested on scene, was released without charge.
