Ontario Provincial Police said Ernest Renaud, 47, was shot at a location on Second Street East in Kirkland Lake around on June 8th at approximately 10:00pm.

Investigators said the shooting was targeted. As a result of the investigation Mathew Leiva-Pineda, 21, of Barrie, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, and Jeffrey Rodrigue, 30, of Dobie, has also been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact (murder).
