Two women charged with the murder of Theresa Taysap in Saskatoon

Saskatoon police were dispatched to a weapons call at a residence in the 300blk of Avenue H South on June 10th, at 1:22pm.

On arrival police located an injured 35yr old woman. Officers and Medavie attendants began life-saving measures and the female was transported to the Royal University Hospital where she died of her injuries.

Police announced on June 11th that two females aged 42 and 37 have been charged with Second Degree Murder.

According to CBC Telsa Morin and her co-accused, Linda Sutherland appeared in court on June 12th. Just before Judge Bruce Bauer, and were formally presented the second-degree murder charge. Telsa Morin told the judge, “It was an accident,” and that the shotgun wasn’t aimed at Taysap.

Update June 27th
Saskatoon police said they are searching for two suspects, Jayden Faith Morin, and Tanya Faye Desjarlais. While their current location(s) is unknown, they are believed to be in Saskatoon.

On June 28th Tanya Faye Desjarlais was arrested without incident in Saskatoon. She is facing a charge of Manslaughter.

On July 12th the fourth and final person wanted in connection to a June 10, 2023 homicide has been arrested.

With the assistance of the SPS Guns and Gangs Unit, 20-year-old Jayden Faith Morin was arrested. She is charged with Manslaughter.
