Prince Albert RCMP received a request to conduct a welfare check on an adult male at a residence on Oxbow Street, in Buckland on June 4th at approximately 2:30pm.

On arrival, police located 78-year-old Frank Lund deceased. Police said his death was determined to be suspicious in nature and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took carriage of the investigation.

40-year-old Justin Madden from Prince Albert was arrested at the scene and has been charged with one count, second degree murder.
